Smart Air® Automatic Tire Inflation
Smart Air®
STTC has a Smart Air computer at each location to inflate your tires to within 1/2 psia of your required air-pressure. Rather than using manual un-calibrated air gauges, STTC installed a Smart Air at each location to insure that we install the correct air pressure in your tires.
By using Smart Air you gain the following advantages:
- You are assured that tires returned to you have exact the air pressure that you, or the Manufacturer, specifies.
- Proper inflation extends tire life, improves ride, and increases fuel economy. Smart Air is the safest, easiest to use, and most accurate way to insure that you have the correct air pressure in your tires.
- OSHA requires that ALL tires returning to use (such as retreads and flat repairs) are over-inflated by 20 psia and then deflated to the proper air-pressure. This is for your safety when mounting a tire/wheel onto a vehicle. Without Smart Air this is very difficult and cumbersome. Smart Air's at STTC are programmed to automatically perform this OSHA requirement.
