The most cost efficient use of your casings is to retread or repair them. Unfortunately, when a tire is no longer suitable for retreading or repair it must be disposed of properly. STTC complies with all state DOE, disposal regulations and can provide the proper certifications if needed.
Per state law, any tire that is not disposed of properly can ultimately be a liability to you, the tire’s original owner (even if you paid someone for the disposal). To limit your liability, make sure your supplier has proof that your scrap is delivered to a licensed scrap tire facility.
Tires that aren’t disposed of properly can end up back in use. If a tire you thought was scrapped somehow ends up in service elsewhere you could be liable for damages if it fails and causes injury.
