Retreads – Does your tire vendor Retread your tires or are they sent to a 3rd party? If so, does the Retread Manufacturer have adequate liability insurance if there is a retread failure that causes harm or damage?
New Tires – Does your Tire Vendor supply you with”no-name foreign” tires? If so, does the manufacturer have a physical presence in the U.S.? Does the manufacturer carry sufficient insurance in the event of a catastrophic tire failure or a product recall? If not, there will no one to sue but you and the Tire Vendor in the event of a catastrophe.
Who pays the claim if faulty service work, faulty retreads, or new tire failure causes physical or bodily harm? A vehicle accident caused by any of these possibilities could cost millions of dollars and ultimately your company or someone’s life.
